Let me explain that. I like Lupe Fiasco because I can relate to him as a nerd. But most fans just love him--even if they don't like his music.
It's part of being in the music industry. People will unconditionally love a celebrity even if they don't like that celebrity.
And that creates a conundrum for Lupe who struggled with wanting a Facebook "like" than unconditional love.
Most people are saying that his new album has too much of a pop feel to it. Others think that it was worth the wait.
I haven't bought his album yet, but after listening to this interview on NPR...I will.

I love Lupe as an artist so I'll definitely be getting a copy of "Lasers." I don't know him personally but I like the way he carries himself in interviews.
